Charissa Thompson
Thompson quit FOX Sports in 2010, and did double duty hosting both Versus as well as Yahoo Sports. Thompson was the anchor of Versus' NHL studio coverage and also recorded web-based video on the popular Yahoo platform. She also managed the site's presence at high-profile sporting events like the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV as well as the BCS National Championship. She had a great time hosting across both of these areas. This made her join ESPN on August 11, 2011. In this role she was the host of the brand new program in the afternoon called "Numbers Never lie" for the network. In July 2012, she made the transition into the highly-rated "SportsNation," enjoying a successful run that lasted until it was cancelled by the network. go back to Los Angeles for the launch of FS1 in May 2013. Thompson as a sports lover by nature, has proven her flexibility in navigating the entertainment industry. In June 2014, after numerous part-time assignments Thompson was named as the permanent host of the Hollywood evening news magazine "Extra". In her role the magazine filmed its the episodes in Universal Studios while also staffing the awards show and other celeb events on a regular basis.
