Alison Krauss has been a country music star for more than 30 years. She was born in Decatur, Illinois on the 23rd day of July in 1971. She and LeAnn Kymes were among the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer-songwriter and bluegrass country musician. Her birth date was July 23, 1971. She entered the music industry at an early age having won local competitions at when she was 10 years old, and making her first recording at 14. In 1985, she joined Rounder Records and in 1987 she released her first solo album. She joined the group with who she still performs, Alison Krauss Union Station. They released their first album in 1989.
