Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who starred in several European as well as American films. Her most well-known performance was in the comedy drama "La Dolce Vita". In 1960, the film was given the Golden Palm and an Oscar by the Cannes Film Festival. The film also achieved both critical and commercial success. Born in Skane and worked as model prior to embarking on her acting career. She was crowned an award in the Miss Sweden competition. She moved to the US and started to be seen in multiple movies playing minor role. In the movie 'Abbott and Costello Travel to Mars,' she was recognized for her initial part as a Venusian. After her role in 'Blood alley her film, she took home the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising young actor.' In her long professional career, she appeared in numerous other films, including the film 'War and Peace', which is an American-Italian war movie "War and Peace," and the Western production 'Valerie' the British adventure crime film, 'The man inside as well as the French-Italian drama "The Dam in the Yellow River'. In 2015, she died at age 83.
